The superior properties of Borusan SRM Black Installation Pipe Corrosion Resistant, Scale-Free Internal Surface

Easily processed :
Provides saving time, easily shaped. It does not make crushing or jamming when twisting.
Resistant to decaying :
Thanks to its homogenous structure, it is very resistant to decaying compared to the standard installation pipes and it is long lasting.
Scale free Internal Surface :
Welding seam is excellent. Scale is not accumulated inside the internal surface due to its burr free welding place.

Borusan SRM is being exported to European countries for years due to its high standards.
It provides a very good result in central heating installations

The welding part of the standard pipes present in the market gets heated and cooled quickly during heating.
At the end of this process, in the main material structure in the welding part a different structure and a different hardness are obtained. Two different parts are seen when the white ferrite line called the ‘’welding line’’ and the part affected by the heat. The thin granular harness structure and the ferrite structure of the welding line cause electro chemical corrosion (loss of thickness, decaying and puncture) by forming anode (+) and cathode (-).
Borusan SRM is subject to additional heat treatment after the welding process during manufacturing.
The structural difference will be eliminated by heating the entire pipe in 900 oC (normalization temperature).
Therefore the electrochemical corrosion resistance will have been significantly increased.

Easy Processing Property

The manufacturing of the standard installation pipes present in the market is carried out by turning the flat band into the pipe by twisting with cold shaping and heating the sides and combining with pressure.
as long as the cold shaping amount increases the hardness of the material will increase and the flow resistance will also rise. But the tensile strength of the material will not rise as much as the flow resistance. Therefore it will be difficult to shape the pipe. As a result of heating the entire pipe in 900 C of Borusan SRM pipes after the welding process (heat treatment application);

  • The tension on the pipe is eliminated and the soft structure is obtained.
  • The hardness difference in the welding part is eliminated.
  • The flow resistance rising during the manufacturing of the pipe decreases again. The difference between the Flow-tensile strengths increases.
  • All of these properties provide a superior property like the ability to easily shape Borusan SRM.
